I love the old holiday traditions and like making new ones to share with my six-year old son. My family will be attending the Knott’s Merry Farm this year which is a perfect spectacular display of Christmas traditions. Knott’s Berry Farms is a theme park located in Southern California.
Knott’s Merry Farm Event has been celebrated since 1985
Knott’s Merry Farm is a great way to kick in the Holiday Spirit by enjoying the live performances, the festive food, holiday crafts, and visiting Santa’s Christmas Cabin. The event runs from November 22 through January 4, 2015.
One of the events that all the family can’t wait to see is the brand new Merry Christmas Snoopy! ice spectacular, named after that world famous beagle that everyone loves as Snoopy. This awesome skating performance is held inside the Charles M. Schulz Theatre.
I know my young train-aficionado will absolutely treasure the moment when we head on over to the Ghost Town for Christmas on Engine 41. Where we climb aboard a real vintage railcar at the Calico Rail Station to celebrate with Christmas songs with Calico Town residents!
Now, how could we miss out on celebrating and bringing in the holiday cheer without visiting our loveable Camp Snoopy Gang. We’ll sing and dance and have whopping amounts of fun and laughs with the Gang at Camp Snoopy! This will be a picture perfect moment when you see your child dancing and singing along with Charlie Brown, Linus and Lucy.
At sunset, we will be celebrating Snoopy’s Merriest Tree Lighting for more holiday songs and the wondrous lighting of the tree held over at Camp Snoopy.
Now what’s holiday without the festive food? Knott’s Merry Farm has that covered!
The elves have been busily creating scrumptious holiday treats. I heard their specialty is Santa’s homemade cookies! With all the festivities, I’m sure we make a stop at Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant. My son and I will most likely be visiting the Farm bakery to share a gingerbread man.
Let’s not forget the VIP of Christmas.. Father Christmas himself will be at Santa’s Christmas Cabin located at the Wilderness Dance Hall in Ghost Town. My son has been making his Christmas wishlist since I told we’ll be visiting Santa at Knott’s Merry Farm. My son can visit and discuss his wishlist with Santa and we can take home a memorable picture.
We can finally relax while visiting Knott’s Christmas Crafts Village. The local artists and artisans who create truly unique artwork. I don’t want to miss the chainsaw sculptor. I bet that’s an awesome display. My son and I will be intrigued by glass blower (truly a lost art in my opinion).
Knott’s Berry Farm offers season passes which are at the lowest price of the season. They have several option as low as 9 payments of $8.50 for unlimited visits during 2015 season. I must say the prices agree with a single mom’s budget. Find out more information on Knott’s Berry Farm by visiting www.knotts.com
